Responsible to the First Nation, the Human Resources Department provides progressive leadership to the Beausoleil First Nation (BFN) in all aspects of human resources management, including: human resource planning, Personnel Policy and Procedure development, management and administration, Health and Safety Policy development, Human Resources aftercare and support, pension and benefits plan and administration, Management and Support and reporting in relation to the Canada Labour Code. The Human Resources Department has the primary responsibility for ensuring the successful supply and maintenance of all human resource requirements for the Beausoleil First Nation. Human Resources will ensure employee compliance with the BFN Administration Policy and Procedures and satisfactory employer compliance with all relevant Labour, Privacy and Human Rights Legislation.
The Human Resources Department is comprised of the Human Resources Manager and the Human Resources/Benefits Officer whose main focus is on ensuring that all claims, payments and other related forms and digital updating are completed and submitted on a timely basis for the BFN Group Benefits Plan and Group Pension Plan under the direction of the Human Resources Manager. This will include full organization and maintenance of all employee Personnel files, organizing meeting and contacts of employees with the AOR.
